Kitsap Humane Society has been serving the residents of Kitsap County since 1908. Every year we provide immediate care and shelter to thousands of companion animals who are homeless, lost, ill, and in need of an advocate.  In 2010 alone we re-homed over 4,200 pets! Our spay and neuter program altered around 3,600 animals, helping to drastically reduce pet overpopulation. 

 

Our Mission Statement: The Kitsap Humane Society is an independent non-profit committed to providing positive life-changing solutions to people and companion animals. We do so by:

 Accepting, sheltering, and rehabilitating companion animals in need.

 Providing humane rescue, protection, prevention, adoption, and education services.

 Implementing progressive life-saving and life-affirming programs.

Sierra Cadle's Story
Please join me in the fundraising effort for this organization. 2 of of our cats are from this shelter and all of are animals are rescues. This is a lesson my mother has taught since I was little - that it is better to rescue then buy a pet, and I have come to believe this whole heartedly. I'm doing this with Abby because without a shelter I hate to think where she would have ended up. Those who know her know her story and how far she has come. For those of you who don't Abby is my rescue dog - we got her in CA and she came from a dog fighting area. When we got her she was nothing but skin and bone, would not let anyone touch her and hid in my closet. Now she is a huge love bug who loves to cuddle and works with me at the nursing home giving comfort to those who need it.
