Every dollar counts. Help your favorite walker reach their fundraising goal!

Kitsap Humane Society has been serving the residents of Kitsap County since 1908. Every year we provide immediate care and shelter to thousands of companion animals who are homeless, lost, ill, and in need of an advocate.  In 2010 alone we re-homed over 4,200 pets! Our spay and neuter program altered around 3,600 animals, helping to drastically reduce pet overpopulation.

Our Mission Statement: The Kitsap Humane Society is an independent non-profit committed to providing positive life-changing solutions to people and companion animals. We do so by:

 Accepting, sheltering, and rehabilitating companion animals in need.

 Providing humane rescue, protection, prevention, adoption, and education services.

 Implementing progressive life-saving and life-affirming programs.

 Creatively collaborating and partnering with our region and supporters to build a model humane community.

Colleen and Salty's Story

Please join me in the fundraising effort for this organization who desperately needs your help. As a cat, I will be overcoming many obstacles to join in the Kitsap County Petwalk, including a high level of feline anxiety while around all those dogs! I can tuff it out, because it will be well worth it to be able to contribute to this marvelous place that finds homes for those unwanted.
As a younger kitty a few years ago, I was one of those unwanted, living on garbage can meals and alley cat naps.  I was only surviving on the streets by my keen wit and the skin of my teeth!
Luckily Colleen and her family took me in and now I enjoy the purrfect cat's life (even though I have to share my space with two new pups in the house this past year).
I would love your sponsorship, but if you're a dog person and would rather sponsor the mutts I live with instead, I won't hold a grudge.  Thanks for your consideration!
