 Thanks to supporters like you, we are able to provide positive life-changing solutions to people and companion animals.
 In 2012, Kitsap Humane Society rehomed 4,586 pets and completed 2,950 spay/neuter surgeries! Our life-saving efforts would not be possible without your help. 


Kitsap Humane Society is a non-profit charitable organization that has been caring for animals in need since 1908. Our vision is that every adoptable companion animal has a home. We work toward that goal daily through the immediate care and sheltering of thousands of companion animals that are homeless, lost and in need of advocate. 

Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome. 
 
Leigh Seligmann's Story

Animal welfare is not taken seriously enough in our communities,there are so many abused and abandoned animals that
 people are unequipped to care for. The amazing people who help rescue and care for these animals could use our assistance
 so they can continue the excellent care they provide. I am walking and raising money to show my support for and participate
 in this great cause.
On a personal level I have a wonderful cat that I rescued from the Human Society, he has been an amazing companion. The Kitsap
Humane Society, as well as other animal rescue operations, were wonderful in helping in their efforts recently when our good friends dog was lost.
I also volunteered there after the seizure of the 150+ animals they had last year and really got to see behind the scenes how hard they work and how
stretched their resources can get when a rescue of that magnitude occurs.
I want to see every animal have a safe place to be cared for and rehabilitated while they wait to find loving homes.
