In 2012, Kitsap Humane Society rehomed 4,586 pets and completed 2,950 spay/neuter surgeries! Our life-saving efforts would not be possible without your help.

Kitsap Humane Society is a non-profit charitable organization that has been caring for animals in need since 1908. Our vision is that every adoptable companion animal has a home. We work toward that goal daily through the immediate care and sheltering of thousands of companion animals that are homeless, lost and in need of advocate.

Dillon Iffrig's Story

Thank you all so much for visiting this page or even donating a few dollars. As a Sailor in the US Navy I love helping others and volunteering is usually a big part of the Navy, but looking for volunteer work on the internet i saw that not only do people need help but so do the animals. I began volunteering as a dog walker at KHS and i fell in love with all of these dogs. These dogs are stuck in a cage all day and cannot sleep because of the anxiety of other dogs barking. However, right as i walk in the door i am always greeted with a wagging tail and tons of kisses. KHS makes the best environment they can for these dogs but nothings beats a warm house with a loving owner. Some dogs may be sick and restless but they maintain a positive attitude no matter what. These animals deserve the world please help me in my fight to send them to a loving owner with a warm house of their own...Thank You from me and the dogs!
