What is PetsWALK?

PetsWALK is a unique, annual community event promoting good health and great fun while bringing people and their pets together to raise money for the animals of Kitsap Humane Society.

When is PetsWALK?

Saturday, July 12, 2014 -- 9:00am - 1:00pm (Starting line is at 6th Ave. and NE Harrison (just north of Lions Park). Race/walk will finish at Waterfront Park in Downtown Poulsbo.)

Walk, hop, skip or run for Kitsap Humane Society animals.

All proceeds from this event help homeless animals at the Kitsap Humane Society. Individuals and groups can make a real difference with pledges and donations. With as little as $30, you can earn some great prizes:

· $30 KHS Bandana

· $75 plus a PetsWALK T-shirt

· $200 plus a KHS baseball cap

Raise $300 and walk with a shelter dog! You'll both get exercise and you may help find a homeless dog a forever family!

Limited to the first 10 walkers with $300 collected - call 360-692-6977 ext. 1216 by July 1 to reserve a dog! Prizes are based on pledges raised by July 12.

5K “Gallop” and 5K/1K “Stroll” Information

For the 5K “Gallop” – the run and our 5K/1K “Stroll” – the walk, participants must register online or by registration form. The entry fee is $15 for adults and $5 for kids. T-shirts are an additional $5 each.

Other event highlights will feature kids’ activities, kids dash, small dog races, microchip clinic (cost is $30), costume contest and parade, adoptable animals, music and more!!

Ask friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, local businesses and others to help support Kitsap Humane Society. All the money raised goes toward the care of area animals in need! Please contact events@kitsap-humane.org if you’d like to help as a volunteer.



Your sponsorship, pledge or donation for Petswalk 2014 will help Kitsap Humane Society to continue providing comprehensive services to homeless animals in Kitsap County.
